Well! Now I'm afraid to say what an awesome post, because it might be misinterpreted to mean that I think this post is shite! But - what an awesome post!

I'd like to expand on something you said, which so many of us fail at, and so many conferences don't facilitate... trying to set up meetings with other conference attendees ("strangers") in advance. You're both going to be in the same place at the same time. Take advantage of it!

I believe conferences should be going out of their way to help attendees get in touch with each other (while protecting their private contact information), and there should even be scheduled "meeting times" when you don't have to miss conference sessions or networking to meet. Wouldn't it be nice if all attendees filled out a profile of what categories they were specifically looking to learn more about? Buy side and sell side... some real deals could be getting done and some real needs met.

I wont respond to this comment because I am afraid of going to a conference and actually enjoying myself, meeting cool people and possibly learning something new.

And I am afraid of you

I'm not going to comment on this post because even if I found it useful and also funny, I might not want to take the time and risk a further relationship based on my experience with your blog after the event. Phew.
